How the Program Works
The TankSure® Program is more than just a visual inspection and ultrasonic test of an aboveground heating oil tank. It’s also an important method for determining the true integrity of a tank and trying to avoid an unexpected oil release. At Drum Oil & Propane, we believe taking a proactive approach toward fuel storage tank replacement is the best way to help protect your family, your investment in your home, and our environment. Once your are qualified for the program (about 94% of all tested tanks will qualify), you will become eligible for $1,200 toward a complete tank replacement when you need one.

Program Benefits
- Qualifying tanks receive $1,200 toward a complete tank replacement, and tanks that don’t qualify will still receive $100 toward a tank replacement.
- EPA-approved ultrasonic equipment inspects tank wall thickness, detects the level of corrosion inside the oil tank, and can help—in some circumstances—determine when a proactive replacement is necessary.
- The program helps protect your home, your property, and our environment, and a proactive replacement can help avoid costly remediation expenses.
- One of our trained technicians will inspect common tank components such as legs, seams, fill and vent pipes, oil lines, and vent whistle.
